Signatures

I get queries by email "via diynot". How does one do this and how can I show an email address if not in a signature? As far as I can tell I only have access to my own profile.

Chris, If you edit your own profile, below the signature there is an option for "Always show my EMail address". If you have this set to "Yes", others can see it in your profile.

You can see anyone elses profile by clicking on their name wherever it is highlighted. So for instance, by looking at your profile I see this

If you had the option that I just mentioned switched to "yes" I would also see your EMail address.

If you go to one of the forum index pages (e.g. Plumbing ).

On the right hand columns (Author/Latest Post) the usernames are links, which link to that users profile. If they have made their email public you can see it here.

How do you chaps add the signature or quote on the bottom of your post ?

I've gone into my profile to update the signature box then press submit and it disappear after that !

Try it again , making sure all the yes boxes are ticked in your profile.
