Silicon render over newly painted sand and cement render

I refurbished my property in the past 2 years and my builders rendered the rear of the property with sand and cement. I have painted it with Sandtex. The side and front of the property hasn’t been done yet as I need to finish off other parts of the property prior to rendering. I have decided to use silicon render on the front and side and in hindsight wish I had used it on the rear of the property. My question is can the rear of the property have silicon render applied over the top?

It would have to be meshed as you have painted it.

Thanks. The existing render is stable so at least I don’t have to take it all off.
