I require some advise before I meet with my builder to discuss the render finish to my property.
In short, I had a side extension built and part of the work scope was to re-render the side and rear of my property inc. the new side extension. My property previously had a bad render job (cement based) which could not be removed without causing extensive damage to the brickwork.
The builder advised that the prep work should be done first before construction starts. Once prep work is complete, the side and rear of the house to be rendered, less the walls which are to be removed for the extension. Once the extension is built, it can be rendered to match in with the house and any making good - around the new extension, new windows installed and previous redundant holes which were filled.
As you can see from the pictures, the render job looks really bad for numerous reasons. My builder tells me that this can be made good and that any colour shade difference will fade and blend over time. I do not think that this is true. Any advice would be appreciated.
