Sime Ecomfort 30 Smoke pressure switch light problem

Hi,

I have a 2.5 year old Sime Ecomfort 30 that wont fire up ..Within 1 year we had the PCB and Fan replaced.... now its gone wrong again .. the smoke pressure switch light is flashing.

Any possible solutions.? Im sick of this unit really. first time it was a blocked filter (ok an installation issue) then the fan and pbc and really its not too old for all these things to happen to it. I called Sime and they were no help.. all out of warranty (even thoughtonly 6 months) shocking customer service.

Can anyone help.?

You need a gas reg engineer to diagnose the problem.

If its fan again then you have a good case to take out a court action against the mekers on the basis that the boiler was not of merchantable quality. But do advise them first in case they change their mind and decide to help you.

They dont have a reputation for reliability. By chance I had to repair one last night.

Thanks for your reply Tony.

They ahve washed their hands of it really. Stating out or service warranty repairs which I think is rubbish really. How can they replace a part in Sept 2010 (fan and pcb) then give no warranty on the parts changed.

Ive tried a repair man today but I cant get hold of him. Ill maybe call Sime again to tell them its faulty. But I expect them to do nothing.
