Single or double panel rads?

I need to replace my old radiators. So, assuming the btu of the following two radiators was the same, which is better..

2000mm single panel

or

1300mm double panel

Is it just down to aesthetics and how slim I want the rad, or does one use less/more energy than the other?

Opting for a type 21/22 may result in pipework alterations.

Longer single spreads the heat into the room a bit better but eventually it should all equalise either way.

It depends on how much underwear and how many socks you need to dry.
Other than that it's purely your choice.
