Single pipe central heating advice

I am in the process of redecorating new house - doing the first room and it seems the central heating is a one pipe system...should I leave it alone or upgrade to two pipe system. Obviously two pipe is prefeable but it must be a massive job, right?

If it works OK then leave it.

Few have been fitted since the 60s and before.

Fair job to repipe.
