Hi, new here please be gentle.
If our solicitors get off their butts, some time in the near future we will be moving, what we have is a faily large (1929-1939 built) bungalow.
One part of the bungalow is, what i guess, an old coal house and is constucted with a single skin wall. This has since been converted to an en-suite which is quite small(and along side the rest of the house its in need of replacing). the main question is, is an exterior insulation/render system suitable for use on a single skin wall?(losing interior space isn't really an option)
thanks, i'm sure i'm going to be back here for many, many more questions.

Yes.

External insulation will allow the wall to be kept warm - and dry.

Make sure the installers dont bridge the dpc etc.

The condition of the wall, and the roof junction would normally dictate if an external clad system is feasible

It may be worth considering demolition and rebuilding to a different footprint if the room is already small and the suite needs replacing

thanks for that. Not so sure demolition is really going to be an option as the roof pitch wouldn't allow any movement. plus the drive is that side and not that wide.
