Sizing a floor pre-tiling

Hi

I am about to tile a plywood fllor with ceramic tiles. Do I need to size the floor beforehand? If so with what and how long do I leave it?

Also when covering other types of wood with tiles do I need to do the same?

Usually not, it should say on the bag what to do. I trust you've got flexible adhesive and grout? Is the ply overboarding floor boards or just ply on the joists?
