Hi all, I had my bedroom back to bricks, bonded out and skimmed. My plasterer did not do the window reveals to my expectations (not 90 degree to window) so the reveals came off again.

All the walls are still bare plaster. He offered to re-bond the reveals and re-skim the window wall.

He is planning to re-skim this one wall and is not using scrim tape against the ceiling and adjoining walls. Could this cause a problem with cracking plaster there they meet ceiling and wall?

I'm aware to use PVA on the bare plaster. How do you plasterer go along not to get the PVA on the ceiling and walls which should not be plastered.

Many thanks.

If i understand you, its not necessary to scrim at the wall to ceiling angle or wall to wall corner.

Use a paint brush to apply PVA near decorated surfaces.

Thank you. I make sure to be very careful with the PVA.
