Just bought a new house (very exciting!)
Having some renovation done ... and not doing it all myself!
Assuming tradesmen will arrange their own waste removal (window replacements, bathroom etc)
(am going to try and freecycle/freegle stuff too)
But need to get rid of stripped wallpaper, old carpets, wall tiles, general clutter -but mainly garden waste -has a nice big (landscaped -so trees/bushes) garden
In 6 weeks sale took to go through it has become a jungle - have filled 2 council bins with green waste and still have a 3+ council bins pile of garden waste - and this is just from clearing the driveway a bit (bushes were scratching car) and removing a climbing plant that was trying to block the gutter! And there is way way way more than that!)
Children on hols so difficult to move in car - need to leave a back seat up (as well as very wet and messy at the moment!)
Was going to hire a small skip - but then found out how much they cost- would be better to get a big one - but then might take weeks to fill it - and then if tradesmen bring their own won't be enough room for both ...
Thought about hippo bag but they couldn't collect it (unless I block the drive with it ...)
I have a tow bar fitted anyway (cycle rack) but have never towed anything with wheels (but am old -so can on my driving licence)....so a bit nervous...
Nearest dump is 5 miles away..
Thinking a small trailer (4ft by 3ft) - I could move about (empty) by hand? (Drive is long and narrow with (lovely big!) garage at top and not much turning space...although turning space will be bigger when overgrowth is cut back and drive will be about 3 ft wider!)
Thinking will be handy for garden waste in future too...
Can't see any second hand near me -
(a few 6ft by 4ft but that seems big to tow/move about to me! I have a 1.6 Zafira -so (although haven't checked) I would imagine I could pull one - and also big to store...)
So it would have to be new - and I need advice where to buy one (apart from halfrauds) ....and then do you 'need' a jockey wheel etc?
