Skirting board corners help...

Hi,

When cutting skirting boards for the corners is there a tool or method to find the exact angle to mitre the skirting board for a perfect fit?

I take it you are talking about the externals, because you should be scribing and profiling the internals or they will come apart.

Thanks for the info. Sorry but as a noobie to this what do you mean with the above?

For the internal corners someone did mention to cut the exact length and place it to the wall. For next section copy the pattern onto the board and cut around this using a coping saw and that should be an exact match. Is this right?

Basically yes, its a piece of cake.

If you simply mitered the internal angles the shrinkage of the wood would create a gap, some people are not bothered by this and cite that filler is their friend.
