Skirting Board Not Long Enough?

Long story short, I took a week off in August to do various bits and pieces around the house, including replacing the skirting board in one of the bedrooms. Things didn't go quite to plan, and I never got around to doing the skirting.

I'm not sure how I never noticed it before, but I had a look last night to check I'd got everything, and the skirting I have is not long enough for two of the walls (the skirting is only 2.4m).

I had a look through the how-to's and the forum, and found lots of info on internal and external corners, but nothing on joining skirting together to make it longer.

Is there a way to do this, or have I (as I suspect) made a basic error and need to buy longer skirting?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt.

Join them together at 45 degree angle, looking at the drawing, make sure the tip of the angle where the arrow is towards the window light, window would be on the left hand side of the picture if that make any sense.

If you can tho, get a longer length. No matter how good you are you will always see a joint
