Hello all.
There is an unusual space in my son's bedroom that is really only useful for some shelves. But I had an idea to create a hiding place for him behind a sliding mirror door. I am a DIY novice and am coming unstuck on how to create the mirror door (which needs run on suitably strong runners or hinges). My first idea was to use a sliding bracket (top and bottom) but I am not sure how I will get this to work with the actual mirror (assuming the mirror is ordered to size and then glued to same size PDF). Perhaps I need joining plates as the plate on the runner is small and screws may not hold the full weight of door? Then I wondered if hidden hinges would do the trick?
Anyway, I'm getting nowhere fast and wondered if anyone could help. Attached is the opening and also a picture of the runners I bought (roughly same width as the opening). The main idea is that no hinge or runner should be visibles standing in front of it.
Thanks!
