Slippery paving

Hi guys,

I have a paved pathway to the front door, and the rear garden is all paved. In the winter sometimes it gets really deathly slippery! (Ive come a cropper a few times!). This winter Ive decided to do something about it!

Can anyone recommend a anti-slip surface or something? I imagine these days theve invented something that you spray-on to add friction or something. I suppose the cheapest option is to sprinkle some sand around. Not sure if that will last a whole winter though, and not the most effective method.

If it's that slippery it might be algae or something, have you tried some Jeyes fluid to clean it?

It won’t help but in theatre, barefoot dance companies wash the stage with cola.
It makes it nice and sticky!
