I know this is probably a daft question but-bought slotted waste from bes

in box there is overflow front and rear with rubber seal,
plastic flexi
plug and chain
2 x thin clear polythene washers and back nut
And Waste fitting and collar for overflow pipe to connect to waste.
My question is what is the best way to seal the waste fitting to bath and the collar?
or should there be other seals?
any help much apprciated.

Yes there should be some other seals, but they aren't much good anyway so just use silicone.

silicon the part that touches the sink/bath. fit the kit then turn the sink over. Lots of silicone in the gap between the sink and the waste and tighten the nut up..... Wipe off the e cess BEFORE it cures.

prefer plumbers mate myself, each to his own !
i knew if i scrolled down far enough a plumber would answer  i have been using plumbers mait for this for many many years on jobs that i would be called back to if there was a prob and i never have, in fact i have changed baths that i fitted many years ago this way and the waste is still solid when the bath was removed
