Small crack on exterior wall of house

Hi All

I have noticed a small crack just below the roof at the gable end of my house. I know it needs to be rendered but not sure if I need to brace it as well. There is no sign of subsidence etc and want to fix it before too long. Any help would be greatlly apprecited.

Small cracks can appear on any house, no matter what the age, and are usually nothing major to worry about.
However, it depends how you define 'small'.
Did it start small but gets bigger with time?
Does it allow the ingress of water/ice?
Pointing/rendering will cure it if it's nothing serious.
I'd keep an eye on it though. If it keeps cracking, call the experts in.

Many thanks for that. I think the crack has been there a long time but needs addressing.
