Smeg DW1612C intergrated dishwasher fault

Hi I have a fault with my dishwasher. The soak light is permanently on and the intensive wash light is flashing. Any ideas as to what this fault code means. Have looked on the SMEG dishwasher codes and cannot find! Would appreciate any help! Cheers

when you switch on , what does the machine do

i.e , does it fill , drain , heat the water , spray arms rotate etc etc

The machine doesn't do anything apart from beep once when you close the door.
