Smeg oven door not shutting properly - new hinges or adjust

Hope this is OK, it's not a question, but I was so impressed by the solution here - http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=199139

i thought i would post it for others that may have the same problem but think they need to adjust the hinges (not possible) or buy new ones (won't necessarily solve the problem)

Basically a cut up foil pie dish is used as packers underneath where the bottom hinge levers engage the chassis, this forces the top levers up against rubber rollers that are worn. this gives more pressure to closing the door fully! now i'm not wasting electric, heating the kitchen.
