Soap Blocking Drain

My in laws continue to use hard block soap that ends up blocking the drain. Apart from the obvious answer, what can I do to prevent or at least ease the problem? Fed up with scraping soap residue from their drain to allow flow.

Well the simplest solution other than the obvious, would be to maintain by clean/flushing out with disinfectant and hot water regularly, this should help prevent it.
