Hi

I need to install the required 25mm continuous gap in a soffit to ventilate a dormered loft conversion roof. All internal insulation/ventilation requirements are met, as are those in the ridge and flat dormer roof soffit.
My builder suggested an installation that would require replacement of the facia board with a board that has the vent gap running along the top of it thereby being hidden by the guttering. The few existing round soffit vents and soffit board would remain.

Is anyone aware of this type of installation and would the fact that the round vents will remain affect the effectiveness of the new ventilation? Any brand names etc that fit my description would be handy.

Thanks

Thanks for that. :)

I assume you can fit it to the top of the facia on the ground before then fitting the whole thing to the roof?
