Soil Pipe Bung

Does anyone know whether it's possible to get a water tight bung for a soil pipe?

Having just removed an old outside toilet I want to continue to use the wash basin which has a waste pipe running into the soil pipe. Obviously without being able to make the end of the soil pipe water tight water will run out from the waste pipe! I've looked in the usual DIY shops but couldn't see anything appropriate.

Any ideas?

Builder merchants will stock them.

Don't know your pipe layout,can you fit one of these incase you need to rod it etc..........

Try Wickes or B & Q warehouse, I've seen them a few times, like a black rubber doughnut between two washers 4.5 ins dia. tighten the bolt the doughnut expands, about £5.
