Solar Pv wiring to the meter

Hello fellow DIYers.

I intend to install some solar panels on my roof in the next 3-5 years.

I also happen to be about to start some works in my house, which present a unique opportunity to put a wire between my loft and my electrical meter and hide it within the walls.

So, does anyone know what sort of wiring is needed between a PV system in the loft and the utility meter on the ground floor? The cable run will be about 10 metres overall.

I am going to get an electrician to put the cables in place, just need to know what sort from somebody who has done PV installs before.

The PV system connects into your consumer unit, not on a shared RCD.

Hide it within the walls.

Ideal if you want to increase the chance that somebody will put a nail or screw into it
