If you can get acetylene with a swirl jet tip (also known as turbo) you can solder copper joints even with some water trickling out as the feather of the flame is close to 4,800 deg F.
You should not try to solder a joint that is air tight as the build up of pressure can be highly dangerous from the steam vapor.
I do not know if flaire or compression joints are legal in your area.
Once in a while we solder a copper x male adapter and using a flame we solder the adapter on then screw on a valve and then continue with piping replacement or repairs
