Hi,

I have some 1.5inch x .75 inch tiling lath left over. It is supposed to be preserved in some way but it has no colour at all as far as I can see.

I'd like to sand it up a little and use it for airing cupboard battens. It would of course be gently warmed most of the time and I wonder if the unseen preservative might give off poor odours or dangerous gases or something.

Some advice on this would be appreciated.

Thank you for your reply, foxhole.

About an hour ago somebody from the company that supplies the preservative to the supplier of roofing lath phoned me back. He assured me that the fluid is widely used indoors and will do no harm to anybody, even in an airing cupboard.

So I can carry on, now feeling relieved
