I have a Halstead Eden CBX combi boiler - just over 2 years old. I sometimes notice two upstairs radiators clicking as they heat up even thought central heating is not selected. My Gas Safe plumber checked the diverter and motor and all the thermostats and all seemed fine. It seems to happen when the shower has been used for some time - and on odd occasions.

I've been told it could be the boiler diverts excess hot water from the shower if it's used for a longish period and that the boiler fires up automatically once every 24 hours and that this hot water gets diverted in a similar fashion.

Does this advice seem right?

I'd be grateful for your thoughts.
