hello all

I have a samsung 32 inch t.v. i'm not especially flush with money but like good electronics in the house but the other half doesn't understand, so i'm on a limited budget.

the sound is so feeble that i once heard a cat fart outside over the top the top of my t.v. so i bought some p.c. speakers on sale at maplins for 10 quid. whilst this enhanced the sound, i want it better. I use to have my stereo linked up to the t.v. but it died and i've never replaced it.

so what are my options, i'm not going to buy a home cinema kit new as it's too much wedge.

Also i want the sound to respond to the t.v. volume being adjusted and not having to adjust the volume on the surround.

thanks for reading and any advice is welcomed.

A secondhand home cinema kit will give you the best of both worlds:

  • ...much better sound with a decent level of bass, and simple & convenient remote control
...not too much money compared to buying something less impressive that's also far harder to integrate

If you take stereo audio from the Scart socket, that isn't going to happen. If the TV has other audio outputs, then it depends on the design of the TV.
