Just finishing the removal of an old boiler chimney (planning/regs/structural implications all sorted), but even though there was a ceramic liner inside, the bricks which need plastering are still a bit sooty. Will this eventually come through the plaster and paint as a stain? What should I use to make good with the adjacent plaster line?
