SPD question

Property has 2 x CU’s off common Switch fuse.
Neither has an SPD, and I know there is no requirement to fit retrospectively.

However thinking it worthwhile due to amount of electronics in the house.
Will a single SPD in a one of CU protect whole property… as ultimately common tails.

Do you size current capacity based to match DNO fuse ?

I do wonder, I seem to renew less LED light bulbs to my son, and I have two SPD fitted he has non, but that could be due to so many things, and vulnerable equipment should have some filter on the mains input anyway.
