Specialist Leak Detection Firms

We have been having an ongoing problem trying to detect a leak in our central heating system and are at the stage of considering firms who offer specialist methods of detecting leaks e.g. thermal imaging, tracer gas, acoustic tests etc.

The problem we have is that I like to use reviews/word of mouth when making decisions, however, I can't find anything by way of reviews for any of the companies offering this service. The companies we've looked at online are Polygon, Rainbow and SOS. In addition, our loss adjuster and central heating engineer aren't familiar with companies offering the service.

I wondered if anyone has had experience of using leak detection firms? Who did you use? What service? Would you recommend them? Cost? For info, we are in the Glasgow area.

As a result of all the tests out heating engineer has carried out.

I have seen the result of work carried out by a Company called LDV
very impressed at how well the job of tracing a leak under ground floor concrete floors went, the leak was traced and confirmed using various technologies and was completely "non-invasive" and the leak was exactly where they said it was!
