Hello all.

I'm about to wallpaper kitchen for a customer.. she has a small area above her cooker hob which has no tiles and needs some protection for wallpaper from splashes etc... anyone got any cost effective ideas. She doesn't want to tile.

Thanks

hmmmm, tiles r the best answer, around a hob - it can get hot, some paints dont like heat, ask her if she cooks! (or the hubby)

u can get fire n heat proof paints, limited colours - white only. very expensive.

aliminum sheet polished and oiled is always a favouriite. if u go to a metal fabricator with ur dimensions and a skeetch, they ll make it 4 u. dont forget ur holes 4 fixing.

nice idea ch427 but a litlle pricy for her!.. had a chat and decided to put a few tiles just around cooker area. cheers for help all.
