ST9400C extra hour question

Hello

Does anyone here have a ST9400C Honeywell temperature programmer?

I was wondering if you could let me know how the extra hour feature works for the heating? Does it still rely on the room temperature being lower than the thermostat setting? Or does it override the thermostat?

The thermostat is the boss, it wont override it. The extra hour adds 1 extra hour, the override makes it come on until the end of the next set on time.
