ive fitted a new hood and extraction chimney,in the kitchen.My problem is that once i removed the sticky plastic protective covering,it has left dark glue residue,and the usual fingermarks. Anyone have an idea as the best way to clean this off.

For the sticky residue try nail polish remover with acetone. For the sticky fingermarks, welcome to the world of brushed stainless steel.
