Hi all.
I have recently moved into a property that has a floor to ceiling cupboard in the 3rd bedroom covering the stairs bulkhead.
The walls of the cupboard are made from (mainly) block work (cinder block?)
All of the internal walls of the house are block (1950s ex council).
I have removed one of the cupboard walls (there was nothing above it in the attic). The other wall I am unsure if I can remove. There are joists in the attic 'resting' on it, but they also rest on the wall above the stairs (which is also block - even though the blocks are built on a timber joist across the stair header).
There is a large cross member in the attic too, but this is set into the side walls of the house.
I think I'm ok to remove the wall, just wanted to check if anyone had done similar.
Seems weird the wall I want to remove just seems to be built on joists too - no wall downstairs underneath it.
Thanks in advance

Probably ok if the loft joists aren’t carrying more than the odd bit of storage. The big one’s a ceiling binder which stops the joists sagging at mid point between front and back of house
