hi there, i live in a cottage with a static caravan in the garden with my son in it ...... i want to run a pipe from my house to the caravan to supply central heating to the caravan, its about 10 feet between the two, if i sunk the pipe in the ground would that be ok or would i loose too much heat

dig narrow trench 500mm down insulate the pipes and bury them, you will losea very minute amount of heat and will be fine for couple of rads

best of luck

if the "pipe" is for carrying gas the answer is no

if the "pipes" are for central htg flow and returns then fill yer boots

Thanks chaps, its only for a couple of rads so that sounds great thanks.... can i use plastic pipe or should it be copper

yes continous lengths of plastic pipe insulated would be alot better then copper, plus less chances of any leaks

make sure any joints are in visible place
