Can anyone suggest what to look for please; i've got a Grohe Eurosmart, one of these type;

the diverter is sticking in the up position - i pulled it apart as far as i could, thinking the spring was knackered, but it all looks good so i'm lost as to why it's sticking open and you have to physically push it back down. Doesn't appear to be overly dirty or gummed up, as far as i can tell [noob opinion!]

TIA

like i said, i've taken it apart as much as i can. spring etc looks ok, not sure why it's sticking

So you dismantled part 5 in @old duffer 's link?

Are there any o-rings in the diverter valve? if yes, smearing them with silicone grease may, or may not, help.

yeah. i thought the spring was the culprit but it seemed fine. i'll try some grease on the plunger bit of part 5, cheers

sigh, another snag. the diagram above is the same i've got w/ some instructions. says to remove the non-return valve [6] and use a 12mm allen key to remove the nipple [5] ~ got myself a key, but it doesn't work, looking up the nipple, it just seems to have a creamy coloured lining w/ a circular hole at the top, seems to be threaded too, but no hex apeture - what am i missing?

It might be worthwhile emailing Grohe tech support and asking them.
