I wonder if anyone can help.

I recently had a joiner put a new doorway in a brick wall and to fix the new frame to the brick work he appeared to use some form of expanding foam that glued the timber in place.

Can anybody tell me what this product is ?

Cheers

Did he actually fix the frame with the 'foam' or had he already used frame fixings and was filling the void round the frame prior to fixing the architrave?

its probably this stuff

two notes of caution

DON'T Touch it (it sticks like ................) to YOU

when its dry (24hrs to be sure) do cut it, then paint it, if not over time it will perish

Could be this stuff. I used it to fix all my internal door frames, worked a charm. I used it with frame fixers for the first few doorways as I couldn't quite trust it, but soon learnt that the fixers weren't required.
