I have a strange heating problem. Half of the downstairs radiators are stone cold.
All of upstairs and half of downstairs are fine. There was a little heat to them but they were cold at the bottom. A partial flush at mains pressure was recommended , sludge cleaner etc. This has now been done but there is now no heat to the offending rads at all. Plumber says blockage in pipes somewhere but best to leave the cleaner in for a little longer to see if it works through. If not then floorboards up to see where blockage is.
I would like to know if this sounds right and if it could possibly be anything else?
thanks

HI

one way to check if a radiator is blocked.turn off all other rads leave one open with the full boiler power the rads hould get hot if it does not then you know there is a fault.but also make sure
1.rad valve is open
2.TRV is not stuck
