I'm looking to lift our original Yorkshire stone kitchen floor and fit wet under floor heating. I know I could end up opening a right can of worms & wouldn't be considering it if we had a viable alternative.
They're just laid on the earth & naturally a lot of soil is going to have to be removed for insulation etc and I don't really want to dig down any further than I have to. My question is: Once the DPM, insulation & pipework has been laid does it have to be screeded with 65mm+, left to dry, and then the (uneven) stone flags laid on a similar thickness of sand/cement mixture to raise it up even further or could I do both the screed and bed to lay the flags at once. Otherwise
