Hi everyone,

We have an 8 seater brown stone patio table that has gone 'dull' over the last couple of years with sun and winter damage which needs bringing back to life.

Can anyone give me some tips on restoring it, ie any rubbing down involved along with any chemical cleaning and products for sealing and maintainence.

Many thanks,

Si P

Pressure washer and a bit of patio cleaner if you have a bit handy. Let the detergent soak in, washing off. Repeat until clean.

Paint stripper, use a paint brush using a dabbing action on a small patch first, washing off (water) as soon as you get desired results. Don't do it where it will harm the work surface/ground cover, or protect it first.

Battery acid, as with the paint stripper

Use Safety Gear with all of the Above

flipping eck, worth checking what type of stone it is before pouring acid over it!.

Whats it made of?

It doesn't read like that. Besides who wants a ruined patch on their table, no matter how small.

Battery acid FFS

Sorry it doesn't read as expected
Test patch as the name suggests is always best placed where it wont be seen
Sorry I'm unfamiliar with the FFS acronym
