storage heater bricks ontop of rads ?

Might be a stupid question but I wondered if placing storage heater bricks ontop of convector rads would help to give off more heat after rads turn off.
 
That will look really classy. It will give heat after the rads have turned off at the expense of the heat output whilst the system is running. Use a programmable room thermostat and let the system work properly.
 
Better to put a storage rad brick in front of the coal fire - then when you go to bed wrap it in a blanket and take it with you :mrgreen:
