Hi,
I'm about to reassemble a Compton prefab concrete garage. The roof is made of 100cmx60cm corrugated fibre cement panels which are nailed to timber purlins with a strange nail-come-clip. Compton tell me the fixing is called an 'Avon Clip' and want £1.50 each for them. As there's 50+ of them I'm keen to find a cheaper source!

The fixing consists of an annular (ringed) nail with a 'U' shaped bracket fixed to the head-end. The idea is that the first row of panels is nailed on with this fixing, and then the bottom-edge of the next row of panels hooks under the metal bracket, then they are nailed on at the top and so on.

I've attempted an ascii picture below. The top line should be slighty longer than in this pic - hopefully you'll get the idea..!

Thanks for any advice,
