Hi
When my centeral heating stopped working i found that the big gear had stripped on my motorised valve (siemens ma-v322c).

Can these plastic bits be replaced ?. If so ,where can i get them?
Cant afford to buy a new valve!
Has anyone got an old knackered valve but with good gears?

Thanks.

Poor quality valves and not worth repairing even if you get hold of some spares. Ask, what caused the gears to strip?
Good Honeywell v4073a about £75 ish.
Easy change. Its gonna be a long cold Winter.

The gears strippped because the motor housing came a bit loose and so the gears didnt mesh propery!

It's a common fault on the siemens valves.

Ya my gear looks just like the picture.

Anyone recomend a better Mid-Position Motorised Valve?
Gottta get this sorted before it gets colder!

Ta!
Somehow missed it in the earlier post.

Is the wiring the same for the honeywell valve?

Thanks for all replies and piccy.

As far as I know they still use brass gears!
