hi all thanks for looking. Just a quick question dose anybody have any good tricks to remove wallpaper that has been glossed? the former residents have put lining paper then glossed it i am using a steamer but it is still very hard work
thanks lee

thanks for fast reply! i have tried that too dose not seem to be helping much

score more then

the idea is it allows the steam to get under the paper to soften the glue, if its not helping much that means not enough steam getting under.

you may also want to hold the business end over one area longer

Buy a paper tiger wallpaper scorer or you can hire a thing called a hedgehog from most hire shops......its a set of wheels with spikes used for perforating the paper

Have you tried stripping it dry and then taking any backing layer off?

I use really hot water with a drop of washing up liquid.....keep soaking it and dont let it start drying

thanks for replys stripping it dry to take top layer off then rest with the steamer is working well
thanks lee
