Stuart ST 55 CUTTING OUT WHEN MIXING WATER

I have a Stuart ST55 pump. When i put the shower to hot or cold i get full pressure but when i mix the hot and cold water the pump keep starting and stoping. I took off the 4 connections but could not see and blockages? Any ideas as i do not want to replace the pump unless i really have to?
