Hi guys - just about to install a stuart monsoon universal 3 bar pump (46410).

Question regarding an installation, I have the stuart monsoon pump ready to go. It is for the bathroom only at this stage, after working out which pipes from the cylinder, and loft tank go where, I think Im good to go. So, there is a 22mm pipe from the hot water cylinder, that feeds the hot water in the bathroom (currently an overhead gravity shower with low-pressure) a bath also very low pressure, (takes 1/2 hour+ to fill the bath), and also the sink. there is a cold water pipe from the loft, which is the feed for the shower and bath. however, I think the sink is mains cold. So, If I fit the pump, it will be perfect for the bath and shower, but, the sink will be mains, and hot from the pump.... will this work ok? my concern is the cold pump will be pumping cold - to nowhere... when the sink tap is turned on....

Don't know the regs on this but it's probably fine. Centrifugal style pumps will pump against a closed end without damaging the pump, eventually they will heat the static water but for the amount of time you'll be running a sink I wouldn't expect it to cause an issue. If it's a mixer tap you should fit a non-return valve on the mains cold

The pump itself is I believe a whole house pump, and I think designed for this sort of purpose...
