With summer a car's windscreen/front end is peppered with many bug splats/debris particularly after a non-urban speed journey and screenwash just smears these more?

Therefore I carry 'critic fruit' wet-wipes in my car (usually meant for kitchen/bathroom cleaning), as these are very handy to clean the windscreen whenever/wherever required!

I just had a thought - why not fill the windscreen wash with citric acid and water?

What's the last thing that goes through a bug's head when it hits your windscreen?
Sh#t

This, looks and feels just too abrasive for glass, never mind paint.. works like a dream.

You know the answer??

Drive everywhere at under 40mph.

Apparently that is the speed required to cause the untimely death and subsequent adhesion of an insect that contacts the front of your car!!

Helps their species survive, in time they will evolve to fly at speeds above the limits posted on their local roads, then they have to learn which side to fly along.. Rumour has it they began to fly higher, then fell foul of the odd bridge... ;)
