Hi,
I'm fitting a Surrey Flange at the mo - got it all in pieces.

The vent pipe comes off an elbow which needs to point at the airing cupboard back wall to join up with the existing pipework. How do you get MI fittings to end up where you want them to? I'm sure loads of PTFE tape is not the answer. I've tried an extra washer but that didn't help and a stack of washers would seem undesirable also and no-one round here stocks them anyway....

Any help much appreciated.

Use loctite. The modern day hemp. You can back it off with no leaks.

EDIT. Just read Charn's post.

Loctite solution sounds good to me but I've had to go down the PTFE route (for the time being?) as we need HW.

If it leaks I'll be out for some Loctite first thing.
Thanks for your help
J

Fit a warrick flange instead.
