My radio has started to work intermittently and has PHONE on the display....what to do to get rid of this!!!

I can only suggest checking the push in connections at the back of the set - and also checking the supply fuse(s) haven't come loose either.

Does the radio go completely blank with no lights on, or does it just loose the radio station/phone connection? If it goes blank, you have a bad power connection.

If you only loose the station and all your settings have not changed, you could try disconnecting the battery overnight, but make sure you have the RADIO CODE before you start. You need to put the code back in after reconnection to get the radio back up and running.

If its saying `Phone` on the display then its highly likely the Phone mute wire is grounding out which is often left dangling un-insulated behind the radio, when a negative/ground feed is applied to this wire (usually a yellow wire) then it mutes the radio.

Remove you`re radio and locate and insulate this wire and it should be sorted.
