Swift Flow 80 problems.

If the rest is to get fixed that needs to be sorted first.

hmm, thats not really what i meant, to be honest you are going to have to get someone in so why dont you leave it up the them to decide whats needed and report back here to let us know how it went.
 
Called a few local guys (left messages) and one got back to us.

He said he can come and have a look, with no call out charge.
For the pilot light not staying on he would change the thermocouple first. (best suggestion he can make without seeing it I guess)
To replace the thermocouple he would charge £85.
Does that sound reasonable?

Some people here in other threads have mentioned doing that yourself as they think it's fairly easy. Can a universal thermocouple be used on this model? What is the consensus on such things?
 
This is probably one of the most difficult thermocouples to try and change

For £85 he should be able to diagnose anymore problems as well as changing the TC
