hi!

im planning to wallpaper my hallway and landing. and also, at a later dte, lounge.

this equates to 3 rads in the feckin' way.

so how do i take it off?

and also, afterputting it back on after, do i need to top up my system, or does it just work by magic?

my system at the moment is them old boilers and headertank in the loft, with a hot water tank.

so how would i go about this?

do note, im not sure if this belongs in decorating forum or plumbing

Turn off both valves either side of radiator and then drain radiator, remove, decorate, put back on and fill back up. After doing this I would recommend bleeding all radiators for any trapped air.

YouTube has some easy to follow videos to help with this.

And make sure that the header tank automatically fills up.

I once replaced the rads and didn't realise that the ball valve on the header tank had failed. My oversight resulted in the boiler pump running dry and blowing...
